I think if I'm angry then that means there's a source for it. Yet, I just can't seem to find it. It's like a small parasite etched within and eating me from inside. All I can do is just thrash around with pain, making a scene while the rest of my friends wonder what's going on with me.

I prefer to bottle up my emotions. It is safer that way. People used to coax me to let it out, claiming they can understand, they can handle it. They don't and they can't. In the end, they just conveniently brush me off. And I'm thrashing more violently than ever with all those emotions that has ran amok.

I hate to complain. Coming from a comfortable middle class family, people constantly expecting me to whine at every vexations. Truth is, I don't have that right. The image of individuals facing a more challenging situation always throw me back. It felt as if someone is shaming and lashing at my face, and soon I'm pushed in deeper into my shell.

Sometimes, I felt as if I don't have the right to be myself. I'm just being consumed slowly by an unknown that has known me so well.

It's hard to own a luscious and beautiful garden in a small country like Singapore. That's why I'm so excited when I found Paperus, a company in Singapore to come up with the 'plant in a bottle' concepts. To put it simply, It's a bottled garden.

The maintenance is very low and it makes perfect gift for any occasion too. Oh, did I mention that they accept special request and each handmade bottles are available for purchase too? Maybe I'll get myself 'a garden' for my new room. I was like a small kid in a candy store when I saw those last night.

I hope putting this up won't make me look like a navel-gazer. Just thought of sharing some of my works with all of you guys. I did an editorial spread for school assignment a few days ago in this run down house somewhere I would not visit again.

You would not believe how smelly it is! Shits are literally everywhere. My friends are like "Human shit or dog shit?". Who cares? Shit is shit! I even stepped on it. Still, fortunately I'm able to get it all done within half an hour.

I won't explain what's the concept here. I hope the title and styling would tell the story itself. However, questions are always welcome.

Its hard to experience cold weather in Singapore. These days, I've developed a habit of looking at the sky constantly, wishing for billowing clouds to gather and pour its essence down ruthlessly. Rain is not the one that I'm waiting for. Instead, I'm coveting after the clean fresh air after the heavy downpour.

When that happens, I'll be lusting over the lonely walk by the empty streets during the night. Listening to songs, pretending that I was being watched from behind. Carefully pacing my steps so that I won't be walking too fast while letting the cold breeze bites into my cheeks.

I'm not sure why am I constantly craving for this kind of moment. But I guess its a wholesome kind of loneliness that I'm drawn to. The positive kind. It feels like taking every parts of me back from family, friends, school, work and society. I feel fulfilled, like sweeping pieces of scattered, broken vase together into a pile.

Then again, I think I know why I need it. I need to feel like I own myself at least once in awhile. Again and again.

As a Fashion student, it can be really depressing when all you see everyday is dozens of gorgeous models parading in the latest coveted runway pieces in magazine. It's easy to get self-conscious and insecure. Thank God for my loving families and friends, whom gave me the strength to love myself and accept me for who I am.

If not, i don't think I'll survive looking myself in the mirror everyday. (Still, I'm not that hideous, mind you)

BUT, If one day, I were to get scarred badly and given the choice for plastic surgery, I'd love to have a face like Brett Ofield! Look at those angelic eyes and plush lips! Even God, who created him on Saturday would have taken a day off on Sunday just to admire him.

Alright, so there is something that has been bugging my mind. I don't enjoy saying it but is it normal for close friends (like really, really close) to see each other, how do I put it, naked? There you go, I said it.

I've been watching Cougar Town recently and the main lady, Courteney Cox, along with her two best friends have no qualms about showing off their body to each other. I balk, not because they did it, but they made it so easy like a medical check-up or something.

Of course, it's not just the girls from the Cougar Town. I've seen other shows where even the guys and the girls were comfortable with each other in their birthday suits. Is it really that easy? Sometimes, I have hard time to even let my close friends see me in a sleeveless top. (Granted, that was a few years ago)

I'm curious. How did they start to be so comfortable with each other? Does it happened just like that or there was an agreement or something?

If it were me with Daion and Steph (Two of my closest friends), we'd be like marking the special day down on the calendar in bold red. Next, we'll book a two night stay in a snazzy resort over the weekend. Check in, spend the day at the beach and have Prime Ribs for dinner. Then, we'll retreat to our suite, have plenty of booze before changing into 'towel'.

We'll be standing in a triangle formation, hands gripping the towel tightly and looking at each other trying to reason why are we doing this but are too giddy to do so thanks to the booze.

These days, it felt as if I'm not keeping up with time. It's like being in a subway, I'm as still as can be and yet I'm helpless with how fast it travels to my next destination. It frustrates me that when I looked out, all I see is blur passing image of concrete. I'm incapable of doing anything to slow it down, other than to arrive at the next stop.

I guess that's why I have strong urge to see myself in a third person's view. An eye, a camera that follows me whenever i go, to see every singles moves, every single display of emotions and the look of my eyes when I'm in static. Like a short trailer of a movie that was never made in the first place.

I just want to believe that everything was already pre-planned like a short well-directed film.

I walked home alone. I jumped into a pool. I laughed. I'm slept soundly. I yelled. I took a poetic steps towards the traffic lights. I gasped at the cold shower. I felled. I lied. I ate by the window sill. I clapped. I sang.

So that by watching myself, I'll turn myself into an object. I'll be able to reinforce who I really am and to acknowledge all of what I've saw, which truly belong to me. And so, by watching myself, I knew why I did what I did. A sense of relief, that for temporarily, it's alright to rest at the bank of time and watch it flows pass me.

I wish I can fill up a bathtub with hot water on a lonely day. A day when my thoughts of you are too wild to be tame. Holding my breath and immersing myself totally in the water.

When I get up, I'll be across the ocean, the continent and in your bathroom. Defying logic and sense. Steadily, walking across the cold marble floor and pressing my ear against the door. Hearing you getting ready; the clicking of your watch and two quick spray of your favourite perfume while conversing on the phone, presumably with your employee, telling him/her you'll be right there as soon as possible.

Biting my lips while slowly turning the door knob, I try to peek across the room and fix my gaze on the view of your back as much as the gap allows me to. Mouthing, 'I miss you' when you walk out the door. Outside on the driveway, the engine starts to purr and the sound diminishing bit by bit as the seconds go by.

I walk out the bathroom, filling my lungs with the smell of your room. It smells of you. The chilly air bites into my unclothed body, raising an army of goose bumps. I clench my teeth, trying to keep myself from shivering. Your comb catches my attention, where a few strands of hair sticks out like insect feelers. Without any hesitation, I run it across my wet hair and at the same time spraying a generous amount of your perfume onto my neck.

I know your cat is lying underneath your bed. She is scratching on the carpet floor as I open up your closet, as if to gently protest against my action. I know what I'm looking for there, a white Diesel jacket with blue woolen hoodie. I try to remember the order. It was 7th from the left.

With leisure steps, I dance with it. Twirl around and round until I collapse onto your bed. The sleeves of your jacket entwine me like a boa constrictor, unwilling to let go.

I lose track of the time, spending the entire time staring into the ceiling and your cat, walking in and out of the room. In a twinkling of an eye, darkness creeps into the room, reminding me I have not much time left.

A sudden swirl of light across the window jolts me up. You are back. I hastily place your jacket back into the closet, making sure everything is the way it was before you left and step into the bathroom.

I lie in the bathtub, as still as a corpse, listening to you dragging your feet across the floor and the meow of your cat when you call out to her. I wonder how long will I have to do this, sneaking around the nostalgia between you and me. Yet, I know one day we will meet and be thrown into an unbridled pit of passion frenzy again.

This thought woke me up. Sometimes it fills me with nothing but misery. However, for once, it was euphoric and I didn't bother about this anchor in my heart.

I thought I could survive living with Julio, my 3rd brother, when he came over to Singapore for further education. Seriously, I've lived with four of my brothers before I came to Singapore, so what a difference a brother makes, right?

I thought wrong. Suddenly, its like I've became a single dad overnight with a teenage son who bears no identical attributes with me or whatsoever. For years, I've heard of my friends' stories of how easy it is to get along with their siblings. To be honest, I think that's a myth.

I didn't expect it to be easy but I didn't expect it to be this hard either, especially dealing with a teenage brother. I have to be gentle with my words and be understanding that he's starting to adapt to a new environment in modern yet stifling Singapore.

Raise my voice a lil' just to assert my point and he'll claim that I'm shouting at him. Have him wash a few dishes and he'll grumble that I'm leaving all the chores to him.

My God~ then I'd like to hear what he got to say when I cleaned the entire bathroom with a pathetic toothbrush. It took me an entire hour and not to mention the funny thoughts my cousin have on me for staying in the bathroom for so long.

Last week, Julio went back Indonesia for the weekend and I took the chance to clean the entire room in the middle of the night when I got back from my part-time job. Guess what I was greeted with when he came home last night?

"Did you sweep the floor?"

No wonder my parents kept selling the ideas to him of coming over to Singapore for study like persistent insurance agents. Not only that, they intend to send two of my youngest brothers over to Singapore as well. Needless to say I'm responsible for taking care of them.

Did I mention the two of them like to wrestle in their free time? Oh God~ Have mercy on me.

Ever since the beginning of this year, everything seems kinda numb to me. I don't know what I've gotten myself into. School is just school. Work is just work. Time is just time, and my life is starting to feel like a walking clock slowly ticking towards the uncertain future.

Maybe I didn't end 2009 on the right note. I didn't confront about the issue that is leaving a gaping mar somewhere inside me. If i saw a bruise on my leg, i can see it and i know how to treat it. Yet, i can't fix the agony inside for i don't know where it is. I guess that's how it is with emotional wound.

I chose to forget and it proved to be more damaging. Every time i remembered, the wound opened bit by bit swallowing up a part of me. They say time heals everything. I say time just conceals and hides everything, trying to convince me that what i want to find is not there anymore.

Even so, those who forget are doomed to remember. This time round, i chose to remember as much as i can. I'm not denying that it's not painful, but at least there's a tune for me to sing now. Those throbbing memories reminded me that, at that point of time, i wasn't alone.

These days, it's hard to find a truly inspiring editorial that both speaks and inspires you. Most of the time, i just flipped through pages and pages of magazine and greeted by prosaic editorial spread. It's not horrible but it's nothing to shout about either.

I was pretty impressed by top male model, Baptiste Giabiconi landing a cover on L'officiel Hommes China for the April issue (Seriously, since when Karl Lagerfeld ever let him off his side before?)

And, I was even more impressed by the spread where it was a tribute to the top music icons in history like Frank Sinatra and Michael Jackson. I felt that Baptiste did a good job bringing out the essence of each musicians.

My friend said that i'm someone who loves to keep things to myself and when i kept it for too long, i'll just erupt into a giant crater swallowing up everything.

Well, i need time to reflect on the things that was said or done to me. I have to go through it so that i can make sense of what's going on and where does my fault lies.

I've been keeping this for too long and now i don't want to choose any of my words with discretion anymore.

People just conveniently dismissed me as bad-tempered. Yes, i'm bad-tempered but i don't get irritated without any reasons. Why can't you realised that if only you can just shut your mouth and stop wasting time on being fickle-minded, it can make things so much easier?

Don't just victimised me just because i'm raising my voice a lil'. And don't give me reasons that you're a girl. Blah. You girls only know how to expect guys to be nice, patient and gentlemen all the time. How far back do you want to go? Do you still want to be able to vote? Do you still want to be able to wear pants?

Secondly, it is stupid having to know, lets say, what people are listening to these days, so as to be able to relate to them. I'm not a big fan of Lady Gaga but that doesn't i'm not capable of holding a good conversation to someone who is a fan. Why does what we listen to have to be dictated as well? Do you understand what does it really mean to relate? To relate goes beyond what a person listen to or what the person do. I want listen, watch and read on whatever i like.

Lastly, i know of the stereotype that you guys have put on me. So what if i'm one? Don't claim to be so loving and all when you can't accept me for who i am. If i have to put on a mask whenever i'm with all of you, i'd rather stay at home and sleep.

Anyone of you, like me, has problem getting up in the morning? Like you woke up and refused to get up from your cozy bed while sniffing the faint smell of shampoo on the pillow... Okay, that was me like a year ago.

Ever since i decided to stock Yogurt regularly in my fridge all things changed!

I will have a few spoons of Yogurt the night before if i have to get up early the next day, because in the morning, my stomach will hurt so bad that i won't even have the chance to snooze or smell my pillow.

I'll just have to rush to the toilet and lift the toilet cover and 'do my business'.

I first started taking Yogurt because i was feeling a little guilty of eating so much 'sinful' food and thought i needed something healthy to counter it. Turns out, i got so much more than i bargain for.

Get the large tub of Yogurt instead of the small cups one because its so much more cheaper. I usually go for the Strawberry flavor, others just taste weird.

Just don't gulf it all in one night. I know it taste good and all, but just don't.

Unless you want to skip the waking up part and 'do your business' on bed.

These days, i felt so unmotivated and dusty like an old shelf. Seems like the adrenaline that i'm injecting myself with is not enough. I've been getting weird emotions lately and its surging inside me like some weird, psychotic songs.

I seriously don't know what to do with this energy where the thoughts involved ran along the line of pushing someone i dislike down the stairs.

But i reckoned too much things going on during day would not be good for my dreams in the night. Two days ago, i dreamed that i fell on the road because of 'something' and cried as if i'm the source of Niagra Falls.

Hey everyone, i'm finally back again. It'll be another four more months before i can get my break again. But, i guess school will be more bearable because i have many great friends and one of my brothers, Julio is finally in Singapore to continue his study.

I'd love to think of myself a cool and liberal elder brother but to be honest, sometimes i can fall slightly towards the 'Republican's side' too.

Before we were about to set off for Singapore, Julio took out a T-shirt with slogan that reads "I'd rather snort cocaine off a hooker's ass" and asked me what i think about it. My mouth just hanged halfway, unsure of what i should say before settling with 'cool'.

Because, when i come to think about it, i think i'd have say it straight to somebody's face rather than wearing it. So, there's no need for double standard, isn't it?

It's 2010 and like it or not responsibilities will fall on my plate. I guess there's no need to be seeing red about it. One step at a time.

Millions of people out there, especially the teenagers definitely haven't heard of Karin Dreijer Andersson alias Fever Ray. And i guess that's why they're going so 'gaga' over Lady Gaga.

And i'm having it up to my head when everywhere that i go, all i can hear is about Lady Gaga. If they think that Lady Gaga is so original in terms of her music video and wardrobe then they definitely have to crack their head and think again. This one half of The Knife has so much more to offer in terms of art and culture that will definitely remain timeless.

Here's Fever Ray with her 'skeleton teeth' make-up for If I had A Heart music video. Who says Lady Gaga is the only one worth imitating for your Halloween night?

She even went further and has her face painted like a Tribal Princess while most of the people out there gushed about Lady Gaga's paint splattered face.

In terms of clothing, do you still think Lady Gaga has the weirdest outfit of them all?

Fever Ray was actually birthed from the fact that her band, The Knife was getting so much exposure in the music industry that she decided to take a break and return again as a solo artist under a new name. The band was notorious for rejecting interviews and refused to perform live. Thus is the peculiar trait of Karin, shunning away from the limelight.

Still, i know that by talking about her, i'd be going against her wish to be so exposed by the media. However, i reckoned that Fever Ray's music is like a strict territory that one might find it difficult to get in.

Of course, it wouldn't be fair if i didn't explain to you guys why Lady Gaga was considerably over-rated, would i?

Sometimes, i don't understand the concept of her music video. Her songs are actually easy to understand with her simple lyrics but yet the storyline is atrocious. Half of the time, i'm trying to figure out what exactly she's trying to say. It seems like the video is nothing other than parading around in the latest runway outfit with a face that says, "Look bitches, i'm got it faster than Carine Roitfeld do."

Actually, i'd love her if she wasn't this commercialized. Honestly, the music felt as if i'm eating a food that has been touched, licked, bit and stepped upon, where at the end of the day, all i get is something that is impersonal.

I know i'm fighting a lone war against everyone's love for Lady Gaga. Heck, even famed stylist Nicola Formichetti and much adored Grace Coddington were gushing about her. So there's no wonder that she's appeared in most of the fashion magazine.

I've heard a lot of comments from my friends that the cover of her Fame Monster was incredible. Of course, it is. It is shot by Hedi Slimane, for God's sake, for those who are too ignorant to know.

Still, i have to stress that all these rants are not because i hate Lady Gaga. In fact, i find her sweet especially where she ordered pizzas for thousands of her fans who queued up to see her and the song 'Speechless' was written to convince her dad to go for an crucial surgery.

To me, Lady Gaga was just too over-rated.

I know, you guys might find all my raving with anything that has to do with Bjork over-rated too. Like her magazine cover on Rolling Stone and Interview a few months back. Still, she did all this without being pompous at all.

So i guess, in the end the only to blame for all this is Commercialism itself.

Pause The Tragic Ending

I can't believe on what i saw on my screen when i woke up this noon. Top model Daul Kim who's known for her quirky personality was dead. Dead. Dead. Dead.

She committed suicide though the official cause is not disclosed yet. It's apparent from her blog posts that she was battling depression a few months ago.

I wonder if too much knowledge caused her demise (She's an avid reader of philosophical books). Is 20 years enough for her to experience everything there is to this life?

Don't Take Me Back To The Start.

I have never been this hardworking in my whole life, not even for my 'O' level. Even when i told myself i wanted to go into one of the best Junior College in Singapore. So i guess my resolve is not that strong at that point of time.

But this is so different. Ever since i got into Lasalle, i felt like i'm in this mix of summer and military camp. I had such a great time with all of my classmates (Well, the 'all' part is a tad exaggerated) and then came all of this crazy, extremely packed deadlines that i barely manage to breath.

Sometimes, i just sat there staring at my lecturers when they gave (yet another) projects at us. I just zonked out. I just want to laugh and pissed my lecturers for pissing me as well.

However, i find myself kind of enjoying all these works. Partly because i never knew i could go this far and partly also because i love what i'm doing now albeit not all.

Stress? Yes i am. But i don't want to run away again. I'm tired of it. I don't want to repeat what i'm doing two years ago when all those anxieties mounted up to my head. At least i want to run with purpose in mind, not like some headless chickens getting nowhere at it.

I'm not calling those who run away are weak. I think everyone just needs to get their priorities right.

And, i'm slowly picking myself up from all those 'bruises' few months ago. Still building that shell bits by bits, though it may not as strong as before, i just don't want to be a crab without a shell.

It felt like years since i last blogged. But you guys have to pardon me because school works are catching up and i've been living on Redbulls and few hours of sleep for the past few weeks.

Being alone in Singapore away from my family proved to be lethal. Sometimes, i felt like i went to a home and straight into a room where i don't have any connections at all. Honestly, i felt like an orphan.

Its no wonder than i felt so nostalgic for these past few days, i wanted to go back home and sleep on the same bed with my parents as i did when i was young. To hear the faint breathing sound of my mum and dad's.

The thought of it keeps me warm. I feel safe and secure.

So i just want to get the assessment done in these two weeks time and work on my plan of going back to my family during the December.

Seriously, i laughed my ass off over the 'too smelly'. Poor Germans, maybe too much sauerkraut didn't do you guys any good. A normal person can't stand being around someone with body odour let alone sleep with him. And others which had me rolling are the 'too quick', 'too sweaty' and 'too hairy'.

Those ladies really don't beat around their own bush, do they? Its so straightforward that its so hilarious.

Tell It With A Fist?

Sometimes i feel kind of left out, even with friends around. I do joke around and always get tagged in the facebook for being the funny one.

But its my mind that contradicts what my body's behaving most of the time. Like trying to destroy the image that i'm building on. There is this certain imagination that never stop ticking even when i'm walking, eating or talking.

Its a torture... because it got so downright disturbing even for me. Like when someone is telling me something, i'll be tempted to give them a hard punch or a kick so hard just to see how they'll react to it.

Something random. You get the drift. It happens to almost everyone. If you're thinking of whether i had that thought when you once talked to me then you're probably right.

I'm kind of getting nervous for the session on next monday. I'm not sure how should i phrase it or where should i start. I'm anxious about his answers, hopefully something will make sense.
